What is Tetrabeasts?

Tetrabeasts is a roguelite arcade puzzle game that fuses classic Tetris-style block play with monster-based deckbuilding and combat. Instead of clearing lines just to survive, every block placement becomes an attack. You will unlock and choose from various monsters with different stats and characters with unique special abilities to create your own play style to demolish the enemies stronghold.

Core Gameplay

• Play on a Tetris-style grid with varying dimensions

• Monster-shaped blocks fall from the top of the screen

• Arrange blocks into full rows to destroy them

• Destroyed rows launch attacks upward, damaging an enemy castle wall

• Reduce the castle’s HP to 0 to win the level

• Enemies on the castle wall will send attacks to destroy your monsters and hinder your assault on their home

Monster Combos & Attacks

• Each block is a monster icon

• Fill a full row with blocks

  • Launch an attack

  • Increase your Special Gauge

• Each monster has its own attack, hp, and special fill stat

  • Base damage

  • Special Gauge gain (for each extra match)

• When an attack triggers

  • All blocks in the filled row are removed from the board

  • All blocks above shift downward, opening new opportunities

• Monsters will take damage from enemy projectiles and hazards on the grid
• Dead units cannot be revived by healing units and will produce no damage or special gauge charge when part of a line clear

• Some ally units can heal with varying range and power to prevent the death of your troops
• Players only have a limited number of troops and when they drop too low they will be forced to retreat and the run will end

Deckbuilding Twist

• Before each run, you build a deck of your monsters

• Only monsters in your deck will spawn during that run

• Each deck must assign a minimum of two monster types and a maximum of four

• Some monsters can cover multiple shapes

• Build your deck strategically to conquer as many castles as possible

Special Blocks

Rare, powerful blocks can appear:

• Lightning Bolt Block
  Destroys all blocks of one monster type on the board

• Bomb Block
  Explodes in a 3×3 area, clearing nearby blocks

• Earthquake
  Shake the board dropping all blocks that are currently unsupported from below

• Plague
  Destroys all of one type of monster on the board, but deal no damage and gain no special from destroyed blocks

• Damage and Special Gauge gain scale with how many blocks are destroyed

Ultimate Abilities

• Multiple player characters, each with a unique ultimate ability

• Fill your Special Gauge through powerful combos

• Time your ultimate to turn the tide of a run

Roguelite Progression

• Levels increase in difficulty as the run continues

• Earn score based on total damage dealt

• After each run, gain currency from each level and unlock:

  • New player characters

  • New monsters

  • Starting perks

  • Monster upgrades

  • Character skins

  • Buffs to monster stats

• Every run plays differently based on your deck and choices
